Critical Dharma for Thinking Minds /Milk Tea Alliance

Flatbush Avenue 2 Train

by H. Enrico Blanca

Somewhere in Brooklyn
it’s about a woman sobbing
alone on the subway.

It’s about a Guyanese elder
psychologist minister taking
classes to counsel junkies.

About a father who kidnaps
the cop who killed his son.

As social worker with Iraq
two tours on his once sharp mind.

It’s about how the sins
of my later years are redeemed
by a 32 year old Dominicana
from East New York.
