Critical Dharma for Thinking Minds

Heavy Dharma Drops!

UPDATE: Cintamani is the new name for Buddhafield Theory (which was only a month old). Cintamani means “wish-fulfilling jewel” in Sanskrit. The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is often shown holding the Cintamani, upon which is written “Om Mani Padme Hum” in Tibetan.

“Heavy Dharma”, the new album by Cintamani, is available to listen for free or download on BandCamp. Composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer Shaunyata calls it: “Psyberian soul: a new mode of Psychedelia with flavours of psybient drone, analogue synth, shoegaze, new wave, jazz fusion and soul.”

Pretty cool music, Shaun. Have you heard Flying Lotus’ You’re Dead? It’s really something in a Buddhist kind of way.

Thanks, Henry, I haven’t heard that one by Flying Lotus, but he’s definitely on the list as one of my favorite acid jazz composers.
