The following is a video playback of Gil Duran’s conversation with Wajahat Ali on The Left Hook. The strength of the democratic uprising on Tuesday Nov. 4 shows that we have reason to be optimistic in our opposition to billionaire techno-fascism. And the Buddhist response is, ‘be aware, but don’t freak out.’
THE LEFT HOOK WITH WAJAHAT ALI Gil DURAN
The Nerd Reich is on the verge of coronating its first trillionaire as the majority finally begins fighting back against the broligarchs who seek to replace democracy with an “aristocracy.”

Tesla shareholders voted to reward Elon Musk for his Sieg Heil salutes and platforming of Nazis with a $1 trillion package if he can achieve certain goals for the company. It’s all about the profits, baby! Meanwhile, Americans continue lining up at food banks, and every economic indicator points to a recession. But why let poverty and hardship get in the way of aroaring, hedonistic Great Gatsby party at Mar-a-Lago or permanent tax cuts for billionaires at the expense of Medicaid?

The Top 1% in America now make more money than the entire middle class, and the top 10% are spending as everyone else is tightening their budgets to try to buy groceries they can’t afford. Anyone who isn’t a millionaire can appreciate why young people are moving away from capitalism and are willing to try Democratic Socialism as a means of improving their lives.
Although America voted for a criminal, reckless vulgarian whose MAGA movement has already done generational damage to the country, the majority is finally waking up and going on offense. Nearly 7 million people marched in the No Kings rally. People boycotted and forced ABC to bring back Jimmy Kimmel. A record number of voters turned out in NYC for Mamdani despite the establishment throwing all their weight, money, and power behind Andrew Cuomo.
Gil Duran, editor of The Nerd Reich, says all of these are encouraging signs and that Trump and the broligarchy are beginning to lose their power, lustre, and control over the masses who increasingly view them as foolish, dangerous, and weak men.
