Palestinian Voices at the DNC

Members of the Uncommitted Delegation repeatedly requested that a Palestinian-American speak at the DNC, just as the parents of a Jewish hostage spoke at the DNC on behalf of their son. The DNC organizers denied the request. The Uncommitted Delegation then staged a sit-in outside the Convention Center. For her part, Kamala Harris spoke loud and clear about the plight of the Palestinians in her final acceptance speech on Thursday night at the DNC:

 “President Biden and I are working to end this war such that Israel is secure, the hostages are released, the suffering in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can realize their right to dignity, security, freedom, and self-determination.”
