Moscow: Protests for Peace

“The people of Russia don’t want this war.” This has been said many times by Russians over the last few days. There is a massive uprising against the war in Ukraine and for peace breaking out in cities across Russia. There have been massive protests, marches and rallies in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Hundreds [UPDATE: OVER 16,000] have been arrested; nevertheless, the demonstrations continue to grow. The Russian people know that this war is morally wrong, that it only serves Putin’s imperialist motives, and that many of the people of Ukraine are their friends and relatives. If you can find a demonstration for Peace near you, please consider participating, or better yet, organize one in your town.
