Audrey Tang: Open Digital Democracy

Audrey Tang is the first Digital Minister for the government of Taiwan. Audrey presents the key principles for an open and fully functioning democracy in the 21st century, which involves 1) radical transparency; 2)  civic participation and 3) rough consensus. Actually, this is just the barest outline of Tang’s very advanced ideas about democracy, and I will feature more of her work in the future on this site. I am also proud to present the groundbreaking public policy work of an Asian non-binary transgender person. I don’t usually feature TED talks on this site, but it provides a good introduction to Audrey’s larger work.
