Sitting For Climate Justice & Peace in Halifax

Sitting for Climate Justice & Peace: Michael Speraw, Swarna Weershinghe, and myself Shaun Bartone. Three of us bravely held the sit outside in the cold, against the front wall of the Halifax Central Library. Seven more people sat inside, just inside the front wall. The group included Buddhists from Atlantic Theravada Buddhists, Nalandabodhi, Siddhartha’s Intent, and Ambedkar Society of Halifax. This is a great turnout for Buddhists in Halifax who, to my knowledge, have never done a public sit for social justice before.
