Workshop with Krishna Das

I bought my ticket today to see Krishna Das in Halifax on Sunday July 19, 2015 at Saint Marys University campus, at the McNally Theatre. I’m going to the Sunday show because it includes the Heart of Devotion workshop with KD, and I love his teachings. He’s the one who said in one of his workshops: “Don’t join anything. Learn from lots of teachers and communities, but don’t join anything. If you join a community, you open yourself up to being exploited.” That little piece of advice came at absolutely the right time in my life when I was going through a lot of shit with local Buddhist communities. It literally saved my ass.
